Can I watch the camera footage live on my phone?
Yes, you can livestream the security cameras’ footage and watch it on your smartphone or tablet (Apple IoS & Android) through the relevant Pyronix or Hikvision app which we set up for you.
Can I rotate and zoom in the camera using my phone?
We’re so confident that you’re going to love your system we’re giving you 30 days to try it out. If it’s not working out for you, we’ll take it back.
Is the video footage recorded?
There are a range of recording options for the CCTV footage including video recorders and cloud storage with various sizes/levels of storage. We will advise you of the most appropriate options for your requirements.
Can you listen & speak through the security cameras?
Most of the home CCTV cameras that we install feature two-way audio so that you can “listen in” and speak through the camera’s audio via the Hikvision or Pyronix phone apps.
How are the cameras powered?
Our Hikvision & Pyronix cameras are mostly mains-powered but modern PoE (Power Over Ethernet) technology means that wiring is much neater and less invasive than old technology. Where mains power is not available there are alternative battery-powered options.
What is your “standard home CCTV package”?
All properties & homeowners are different so we will customize every camera system to suit but typically most clients opt for a system comprising 4 cameras and a video recording system.
How much does a CCTV system cost?
Costs vary depending on the spec, type & number of cameras required and the video recording option desired. Please contact us to arrange a free, no obligation quote tailored specifically to you.
Do security cameras work at night?
Yes. The outdoor cameras that we fit use infrared technology & lighting to provide night vision capabilities so that the cameras still provide protection when it is dark outside.
What happens when a motion detector camera is triggered?
The system will send an alert to your phone when this type of camera detects movement in its set area. You can then visually check the reason for the alert.
Do I need a combined alarm & CCTV system?
For complete protection, we would always recommend fitting both an alarm & a CCTV system but we are happy to fit standalone CCTV systems or replace an old domestic CCTV set-up.
Can your CCTV monitor my garage, garden room, home office or outbuilding?
Yes. We can fit security cameras that will allow you to monitor & protect buildings outside of your main house.
